My short cli-fi story, The Jam, published in Free Radicals Magazine
The Jam is a short story about survival and sacrifice set in 2048, a decade after a nuclear autumn ravaged the earth. It follows a teenage girl who struggles with rage and hopelessness as her middle-class American family is forced to join millions of desperate foreign-born climate refugees traveling north. But when Kayleigh Fisher meets another teenage migrant in the most savage of circumstances, she is forced to reconsider everything she believes.
This short story was published in the March 2022 issue of Free Radicals magazine. It is an excerpt from a larger cli-fi novel I am working on, also called The Jam.

My short story, Everything You Imagine, published in The Nonconformist Magazine
Everything You Imagine is a short story that explores neurodiversity and acceptance. In it, a suicidal teenage girl beset by existential questions discovers relief to her perilous anxiety, even if her epiphany comes in the form of what her therapist may describe as self-deception or delusion. It was published in February 2021 in the Nonconformist Magazine. The story is a chapter from my novel, No, You’re Crazy, scheduled for release by Roundfire Books in May 2023.

This Heaven and Hell We Create is a short story picked up by Litbreak Magazine in September 2020. It gives a taste of my novel, No, You’re Crazy, scheduled for release by Roundfire Books in May 2023. In this harrowing look at mental illness and neurodiversity, a runaway teenage girl beset by guilt and suicidal thoughts seeks comfort and salvation in her own tangled reality. My short story, The Lost Sounds, published in Consequence Magazine
The Lost Sounds is a haunting story about the search for the qualities that make us human. When a former street kid begins working with a war journalist, he finds a harsher answer than he expected in a windswept Iraqi desert. Consequence Magazine, an international literary magazine focusing on the culture and consequences of war, published this story online on August 7, 2020. While The Lost Sounds is a standalone story, it is also a small piece of my novel, No, You’re Crazy, scheduled for release by Roundfire Books in May 2023.
